Armadillo as a Spirit Animal

I am watching 'EWTN', 'The Heresies' right now.

The thought is regarding the Eucharist, wafer and wine, as the Body and Blood of Christ, the invoking of Transubstantiation, the power of partaking in the Eucharist brings Christ into us.

What is involved in this practices of bringing Christ into your life is a belief that through these simple elements you will be spiritually a part of Christ, in spirit and faith, through confession and attending Church.

Taking this to a different aspect, I was considering other symbols chosen in the Church.

I believe much thought did go into this over the years, which did cause strife with regard to Paganism, but my thought was on armadillos in the Catholic Church.

I am aware of many symbols though I could not quote them, but what is a fact, many animals are considered to certain cultures to be symbols of strength and faith.

I never considered an armadillo as a spirit animal -pretty interesting it is described to be 'totem animal', which could relate to my part of ancestry through the native American tribe, the Pamunkey Tribe of the Virginia Tidewater. I do not know for certain if this is true, whether the Pamunkey use such a spirit animal, or even totem's, however, to invoke the Armadillo is 'setting boundaries'.
