I was recalling how it was talked about by my parents, the way technology would advance in their lives, inevitably there would be an expression of my mother, as my father stood by and considered her thoughts, "I suppose, we better do it."
This wouldn't be a real enthusiastic expression of commitment, more of, "well, that's the way their doing it now", so they figured they better learn to adapt kinda of expression.
Thinking about how electric lines advance into the farmlands. How they were big shots. My mother loved those glass knobby things on telephone poles.
I'm thinking about how technology could develop. How we could have home installation receiving pods delivering electricity or power via satellite, no need for wires.
My parents sitting around watching all of the electrical wires coming down, the ones they watched their entire lives going up.
What an interesting place of their lives to be able to watch and live, through the entire time of modernization then to watch it advance even more and reduce down to dominate space and be less intrusive on earth.
