I am writing this note to remind my siblings, nieces and nephews and the children of them, our grandchildren, etc. of the very public prounoucement by our American President, Donald Trump, to the reigning Monarch, Elizabeth II of a large brooch made of rubies, in the shape of a Poppy [Trumps give Queen Elizabeth a brooch from Tiffany | TheHill]. This very flower the Queen wears, to me now I realize is worn in a brandishing style.
My own mother, Donna Rae Trogstad, made me, as a child go around our community collecting donations for the promotion of reasoning behind the Poppy flower, that is the 'Field's of Flanders", in France. I would collect a nickel or a dime and give a poppy flower to the donator and the money was to be sent away for the 'good cause'.

What I have learned in 2021 about the "Fields of Flanders", 'the poppy fields' in Flanders, France is that those very fields belonged to my mother and father's families and that Elizabeth's father with the communion of Hitler began a process of land take-overs that began to 'get out of hand' through Hitler.
I have learned that my own parents parents understood of their ancestry,but were incapable of doing a thing about their 'rights' to these lands in France as Americans and due to the continual conflict.
I have come to realize during WWI and WWII the denominations of power in Europe were vying for this land considering who had legal rights to govern over the land and all of its riches, i.e. reveneues and my American born grandparents might have been guarded by the American government as Churchill initially interacted with Hitler, and King George V as well as Mary Teck's whose family hails from similar regions of Austria and Croatia as my own ancestors and that they and our governing body of people, Franklin D. Roosevelt and his spouse, Eleanor Roosevelt. This Regent does consider the real possibility they knew who in America was considered a threat to their 'taking' this land.
My parents were not born during the era of WWI but between the two wars.
The fields of flanders are and other large expanses of land in France and greater regions of the United Kingdom which were being fought over, certainly not by the Jewish population that was dissemated, many of those persons might have been whispering of the truth, possibly; literally of King George V, and King George VI who were compatriots of Hitler, as not rightful true possessors of the land's, were instead some persons in America.
What I saw recently was President Donald Trump give Elizabeth II Mountbatten a large ruby brooch in the shape of a Poppy.
I recently learned that the fields of Flanders belong to my parents. That is the Duchy of Flanders, where many soldiers stood wondering why they were there living out their last days on earth provisioning for King George's descendants to rule over land and reveneues that were not rightfully theirs to acquire.
There was discomfort on the part of my grandparents, my mothers parents who were simple Americans. My grandfathers mother died when he was a young boy. His wife died also at a young age.
Without all of the hard-work so many persons have put into public through genealogy work, the family members of Plum Tree Memory still would never have known any of this information.
