When I had to get rid of Hunin and Munin my black cayuga ducks, I was able to take them to a place a former co-worker of mine from Menards, Inc. in Willmar knew to take them, the family were friends of his and they had a lot of fowl. A beautiful coop/shed for their birds, so though I loved them and hated leaving them, it was 'okay' to leave Hunin and Munin with them.
While I was there dropping them of and saying goodbyes. I'd visited once I believe. The couple were generous and kind to my demands for continued emotional attachment, anyway, they had maybe a half-a-dozen or more peacocks in the family.
These peacocks of course lost their feathers and they were picking them up and placing them in barrels. For what I do not know.
I was just thinking about that farm and what you could use the feathers for. Possibly a peacock feather tree. I'm not sure how that would look but it would be interesting to make one and see how it work as décor.
