Republican Party of New Jersey

Looking for pictures of John Wister Ayars who lived in Cumberland New Jersey moving to Freeborn Co., Minnesota by way of Wisconsin, 1855. I wondered if he and his wife Mary Davis had any association to helping persons traveling through the Underground Railroad when I realized that they had stayed @ Milton Wisconsin for a year before completing their journey to Minnesota. I came across this book that discusses the beginnings of the Republican Party in Shiloh and Cumberland New Jersey and its intent to give cause through a political platform for the demise of slavery.
