Plum Tree Memory

Post

Writer's pictureJodi Rae

Somethings I remember...

My father-in-law, Terry Brennan,

he was fond of sculptures, wire sculptures, pictures, plaster statues. He would buy them and gift them.

He was a fine man who indulge his immediate gut response to an item.

I was recalling a wire piece in my house. I had no walls for this fine structure but we made it live where it was most prominent. No one really ever said anything about it, not even a compliment. It was just naturally there.

The piece was a huge wire copper Stagecoach with a drive and horses.

I really liked the piece but always wished I had a larger house for its display.

Joe was gifted with that sculpture by his father and of course in the divorce it was his to have.

I was thinking about other types of wire sculptures just now, wondering if anyone did this type of work still. Did anyone create something such as a Lobster wire sculpture.

Can't even believe what I landed on. This huge art piece with a very proud artist -Aiden Dale.
