Today, in 1985, Joseph John Brennan and I were married at the Church of Saint Joseph, West Saint Paul, Minnesota.
I was five months pregnant with Jasmine, and my little sister Peggy held Jason, then 21 months old, while we took our vows.
The ceremony started on Friday night at 7:00 p.m., where I had to wait out a hail storm right before the service, when I was getting ready at Connie Abrahamsen's house in West St. Paul, Minnesota.
The minute the hail stopped, I took off running for the church.
I miss being married. I loved my family and husband very much. I did not like the direction or change his heart took. It did reduce me in life.
I sit today, being very reduced down by society. What a sad discovery to know, that when we were divorced his family, his sister Loretta and her husband Ian Harding knew of our status of wealth and they did not see a future of love, joy and unity while embracing our true ancestrol rights, instead only dismality.
