Thinking about seeing Zoe as her "self-induced apparition".
When she was very sick, to keep her warm I had her near the heater on the floor, on a pillow. I was laying down trying to rest. I am not really a napper, but I was somewhat dozing, feeling the presence of uncertainty of Zoe's condition of her life in the balance.
She had on several occasion's shown herself in her dismal state though spiritual actions, but this time I was roused by her actual movement, the quiet sound of a cat coming out from the covers and walking across the floor. I looked up from my pillow sleepy but certain, Zoe had created herself in full form and was looking in my direction but had entered the place of dimension where her head was moving through the wall to the room next door.
They were laughing and talking in there and it was as if Zoe was intent on learning about her surroundings, who was in the building we were living in. She has been sick since moving in and has not had a chance to explore like a cat normally would.
Zoe's exploration resulted in her as a physically spiritual apparition that would visualize herself with me. I watched her learning of where she was. Navigating her surroundings. She would follow me. One time, waiting at the top of the stairs. Responding to me, I gave her a kiss and told her to go back to her body and she did. This is where she proceeds to be more now than when she was really sick. She understands her condition that she is not who she was.
Zoe is taking in fluids, still alive though not in what condition a feline prefers, she is however, 'Bonny and Blythe' in her life and it appears she willed herself to this in a spiritual sense, yet I did talk with her about the importance of her spirit staying with her body while we worked on her recovery. It did take her a while to resume this presence. She had to be encouraged and I did this so gently whether she moves in spiritual form with me or her life form, I would want that to be within her sweet gentle self.
I was teasing Zoe about how long she was, calling her a 'tall, grey cat' just like the song by 'The Hollies, Long Cool Woman, in a Black Dress' and then I got to wondering about whether there was a drink -"is there a grey drink?" I said to Zoe, "one that could go with this thought!"
Look what I found! 'Gray Ghost'! How perfect a tribute for Zoe!
A song and a drink and a flower!
I have to add this note about violets, which I always considered a weed until I received my 'Victoria' magazine from my mother-in-law Patricia Louis Thompson Brennan, this magazine subscription she gifted me every year for my birthday, for years.
I learned to fall head over-heels in love with violets in their natural setting brought in to delight the senses and the grand Victorian home of ones dreams. I never knew there was a liquor made from them. Creme de violette
